Experimenting With Swimwear
We had a customer ask if Ovation Crafts Heat Transfer Vinyl would work on swimwear and I thought, “Well gosh, I hadn’t considered it!”
The first thing I did was some shopping! The key to swimwear is to stick to “The Three” main fabric groups:
Cotton
Polyester
Cotton-Poly blend
If the tag says anything else, proceed with caution. I found some swim trunks for Husband and a cute one piece for Tot. Both tags checked out for acceptable fabric.Then I created my design. Are your kiddos as obsessed with Baby Shark as mine?
As we’ve mentioned before, always tread carefully when using a new material. I used a lower heat setting to adhere (the spandex in Tot's suit made me a little nervous) and once I was sure I wasn’t going to burn my fabric I raised the temp a bit.
